The students of Commerce section of SSPM Day School and Jr. College attended State Level Commerce Conference at Dhruv Global School Sangamner on 8th and 9th September 2018. Two students from std XII Laranya Shah and Abha Komawar and three students from std XI Anika Gade, Gaurav Sharma, and Shreyas Ramdharne were selected for attending the two day seminar.
The programme was chaired by Chairman of Dhruv Global School Mr.Sanjay Malpani , Director Mr.Rajesh Malpani and the Principal Mrs.Archana Ghorpade. The chairman of commerce club Mr. Krishna Bhandari briefed everyone about activities conducted by them throught the year and the purpose behind the conference.
The speaker for the first session was Mr. Samish Dalal an associate professor at S.P.Jain School of Global Management. He explained about the qualities one should possess so as to become a successful businessman like trust, appreciation and taking risk.
After lunch the next session was with Col. Mr.Sudhir Sinha cofounder of DPS pune and founder of organisation called “ Inspiring Souls”. In the evening there were management games and Talk show arranged in which the students participated enthusiastically. A talent show was organised by the host school. The day ended with a great dinner.
The second day started with a session with CA Mr.Prashant Runawal who guided the students about different career options in commerce field , their requirements and how to be prepared for the competition in the commerce field. He explained the journey from campus to career. The second lecture was conducted by Mr.Subhash Talekar spokesperson, Mumbai Dabbewala Association. He explained the management process of Mumbai Dabba system and its working.
The last session after lunch was conducted by Mr.Sanjay Malpani Chairman of Dhruv Global School. He explained how the Hindu Scripture Bhagwat Geeta tells about management skills. The conference ended with ceremony where participants were given participation certificates.
