All the education institutions are imparting education to the masses and are doing different things for the students. But here at S.S.P.M Day school and Jr. College we are doing the things differently. One of such things is Career Guidance Lecture Series arranged by the Principal Ms. Shivali Jagtap.
A guest lecture was arranged for commerce students of std.XII, conducted by Mrs Suvarna Shridhar, who is a professional storyteller and facilitator. Topic for the same was ‘Careers and Choices for XII Graders’. She discussed long and short goals, advance planning for career, how to prepare Resume etc. She also briefed the students about competitive exams and various websites on which one can get information about new educational courses and the colleges or universities available for the same. In the second session of her lecture she made the students aware of the importance of Industry Experience, Visits, and Corporate Exposure etc. Towards the end of her lecture she gave tips for group discussion and interviews.
Thus the lecture proved very informative and enlightened the students and prepared them well in advance before they will put their step in the world of commerce.
