Guest lecture on career guidance for Std XII students was arranged on 30th November 2017 at 2.00 pm. Dr. K.R. Jethani , H.O.D. of Chemical Engineering Department,COE, AISSMS, Pune guided the students on various aspects of ‘Career options in Chemical Engineering after XII’.
The following points were discussed during this session:
- Importance of chemistry in everyday life.
- Design and maintenance of chemical plants.
- Development of chemical processes for converting raw materials or chemicals into valuable
forms. - Methods of production of large scale manufacturing units.
- Employment opportunities in government sector and private sector such as scientific research and development services, in the field of biotechnology and nanotechnology , in electronics, clothing, pulp and paper industry, in the development of aircraft, in teaching field etc.
