The enthusiasm and urge to learn is a well-known phenomenon. The art of teaching lies in discovering different hidden talents, values, sense of responsibility and a spirit of adventure, character building and foster leadership, organizational skills amongst our students in such a way that they can achieve their goals and be successful citizens of tomorrow. Keeping the above view in mind, S.S.P.M. Day School also focuses on various co-curricular and extracurricular activities and hence participates every year in ‘Kolhapur Carnival’ organized by Chhatrapati Shahu Vidyalaya at Kolhapur.
As this year marks the silver jubliee year, the students were anxiously waiting for this event, a weekend filled with fun, laughter and talents.This year Kolhapur Carnival was held on 10th and 11th December 2016. 21 students from Standard VIII, IX and X were selected for participating in the various competitions like Flower Arrangement, Salad Decoration, Big Bang Project(Science), Tile Painting, Quilling, Rangoli, Best out of Waste, Mirror-Mirror on the Wall, Debate, Chakravyuha(Quiz), The Bold And Beautiful-Carnival Prince and Princess, Razz Matazz. Also to keep the audience engaged some fun filled games like housie ,best dressed ,etc. were arranged . Enthusiastics Shivajians participated in various events and bagged prizes. Participating in the carnival helps students to acquire the qualities of team spirit and co-operation. They learned and analyzed the facts of life, trying to be the best team with rejuvenating spirit.
