Constitution is a sacred document for every country. Constitution of India, is one of the most acclaimed constitutions of the world. Dr. B.R.Ambedkar is regarded as the sculptor of India’s Constitution. 26th November, is observed as ‘Constitution Day’ to remember the contribution of the great minds engaged in framing of our constitution. 26th November, 2016, was observed as ‘Constitution Day’ in S.S.P.M. Day School and Junior College. The teachers and students read out the Preamble in their class and the students were explained the meaning of Constitution, Preamble and Fundamental Rights and Duties of citizens. Also, an Essay Writing Competition for Senior Group (St-IX-X), on the topic of ‘Constitution- A Unique Document’ was organized on 28th November, 2016. One participant from each Division of Std- IX and X had participated in this Competition. The participants wrote about the importance and special features of Constitution of India. The Competition enabled students to gain important information, facts and features of Indian Constitution.
