So it is a high time that we think about saving environment .It is important to adopt eco-friendly development measures and bering about growth and development that doesn’t blemish the environment. “
As a part of “Environment Week”,S.S.P.M Day School & Jr.College Pune had organized tree plantation program at Vadgaon Shinde. 30 students from Std X were selected for tree plantation. For visiting the place school had arranged school bus. The student left the school at 8am and reached Vadgaon Shinde at 10 am.
The Chief Guest Shri. Anil Shirole(MP) gave speech on importance of plants & how useful are they for us and for nature. It was very inspiring. Then all students along with Chief Guest went on the selected spot for tree plantation.Then the first plant was planted with the hands of Chief Guest. After that the Sarpanch of village planted a mango plant. The students were then divided in different groups.
After planting some trees in the village, all students with Chief Guest went in the outskirts of the village and planted trees on both the sides of roads.The Ex. students of S.S.P.M Day School donated almost 1800 Saplings . While planting trees the students were provided water bottles by our society treasurer Shri. Ajay Patil who was one of the Chief Guest. After the plantation all students were served with snacks .The students returned back to the school at 12:30.
The program was inspiring for the students as they received motivation to save our environment and take care of it.
