Guest lecture in career guidance in Pharmacy was organized on 11th Oct 2013 at 10am. Prof. Rahul Padalkar from AISSMS Pharmacy College was invited for the same.
Head girl, Srilata Mannepalli, gave the welcome speech. The lecture included following points :
1. Definition of Pharmacy and Pharmacist
2. Scope of Pharmacy
3. Pharmacy courses such as D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm etc.
4. Subjects taught and the duration of each course.
5. Career opportunities in Pharmacy in Government sector, Industry, Hospital and Academics.
Prof. Padalkar emphasized that Pharmacy is an evergreen profession and never faces economic recession as it is an integral part of healtcare system and there are innumerable job opportunities in it.
He also stressed that it is the performance of the students which help them to excel in a particular field.
The lecture ended with an interactive session and enabled the students to understand the different career opportunities in Pharmacy .
