To create awareness amongst the students about Dr. Salim Ali , one of the greatest ornithologist and naturalists of all time is also known as the Birdman of India , a session was arranged on 29th June 2017.
Students of std XII had prepared a documentary on Dr. Salim Ali. He was one of the very first scientists to carry out systematic bird surveys in India and abroad. His research work is considered as highly influential in the development of ornithology. The session started with an introduction given by Shivam Wable. The students presented a documentary on life of Dr. Salim Ali ,his photography and bird sanctuary at Goa. Ishika Sarode , Sakshi Sagar and Joyes Jadhav given speeches about Dr . Salim Ali’s contribution, early life , legacy and bird sanctuary at Goa.
Principal Miss. Shivali Jagtap gave an inspirational speech and guided the students to collect more information about Dr. Salim Ali. The session ended with the vote of thanks given by Tiwana Simranjeet.
