A Guru or a teacher is needed to lead us to the path of righteousness so that whatever work we do in our life we do it the right way without harming others.
Gurupurnima is one such day when the Guru or the teacher is worshipped for the work they have done for their disciples.To honour the teachers a programme was organised on the occasion of Gurupurnima by the students of SSPM Day School & Jr. college on 10th July 2017. The programme started with a grand welcome to Principal Miss Shivali Jagtap, Supervisor Vaishali Rao and all the teachers.The programme was hosted by Sakshi Gade and Gaurav Theng of std XII.
The Head boy Krishna Nagarkar gave a welcome speech followed by Ganesh vandana by Manjiri Godke. Mugdha Pendse of std XII gave a small speech explaining the importance of gurupurnima. The students performed a small skit showing how a teacher touches one’s life and leads the youth to a bright future, after which the students presented a sweet poem on all the teachers.
Then the Principal Miss Shivali Jagtap guided the students with her inspiring words on this occasion. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks.
