SSPM Day School and Junior College celebrated the 145th birth anniversary of the great social reformer and erstwhile Kolhapur princely state ruler Shri Rajarshi Chhatrapti Shahu Maharaj . The students of the junior college presented a power point presentation on the life and work of Rajarshi Shri Chattrapati Shahu Maharaj.
The students, Master Vineet Ranka of Std XIIA and Miss Lavanya Shigula of Std XII commerce through the PPT and video informed the students of Junior College about Shahu Maharaj’s birth ,life history ,social work done by him for the downtrodden and lower caste, reforms implemented for the development and upliftment of the society. The PPT also showcased the awards honoured to Shahu Maharaj and his work in the field of Education.
Students also saluted and paid tributes to Shahu Maharaj through charts and drawings.
The life story of Shri Rajarshi Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj inspired and made the students aware of their responsibilities toward the society and fellow citizens.
