26th June is observed as Drug Abuse Prevention Day by United Nation to increase the awareness among the people for Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking of drugs. Youth and teenagers are more prone to become victims of drug abuse which is resulting in various socio-economic problems.
Drug addiction is deteriorating the health of young generation, the awareness among teenage students is important. A Powerpoint Presentation was arranged by Mrs. VaishaliPophale, Mr. SachinKarkande. The students of std IX, X and XII attended the presentation. It included videos on drug addiction and its effects and the ways of prevention of drug addiction.
It was a small effort by the teachers to spread awareness among the students.
