Savitribai Phule University`s IUCAA Centre had organized a lecture on `DATUM` (singular of DATA), in connection with their `Second Saturday Lecture` series. Lecture started at 10.00 a.m. Resource person Mr. Bhooshan Gadre addressed students of almost 100 schools. He briefed students about different modes of storage of data and various units of memory. He also explained about vast astronomical data, its applications and storage. At the end of the lecture Mr. Gadre also interacted with the students and cleared their doubts. Students also visited the science park at IUCAA and experienced working of various instruments at park based on scientific principles.
