S.S.P.M.Day School and Jr. Collage celebrated Palkhi on 20-7-18.
All the students of class V to VIII took part enthusiastically in the Palkhi celebration .Children made palkhis of St. Dnyneshwar and St. Tukaram Maharaj .All the participants had dress up as warkaris . Some participants had dressed up as Pandurang ,Dnyneshwar Maharaj , Eknath Maharaj, Tukaram Maharaj , Muktabai ,Bahinabai , Namadev Maharaj etc.
In the beginning of programme Principal Ms. Shivali Jagtap and Supervisor Mrs. V.Rao offered floral tribute to load Vitthal and the Palkhi .
The program started with Bhajans and Abhangas which were sung by the students from std V to VIII. The participants and the audience joined in the performance went on for nearly an hour. Later the students Warkaris along with the teacher assembled at the Shahu Maharaj Statue(memorial).It was a spiritual atmosphere all around the campus.
Over all it was a wonderful experience for the school students and staff. Sweets were distributed to the students and staff on this occasion.
